black-uniPlay ball!

Monday the team will unveil NEW alternate black uniforms and play the FM Redhawks in an exhibition at Newman Outdoor Field starting at 6:00pm and the team encourages everyone to come out! This game is on the official Redhawks preseason exhibition schedule.

Can the Brewers give the Redhawks a competitive game? That remains to be seen, but the team will be bolstered by several Minnesota amateur baseball all-stars (friends of the Brewers and members of Minnesota Max Bat - winners of the NABA World Series in Phoenix last fall). These players include pitchers Zac Femrite and Ryan Morse, NABA-Phoenix tournament MVP Matt Mann, Aaron Olson, Chris Baso, and Jeremy Hinderks (Scott Hollingsworth and Sam Rothstein are unable to make the trip).

Friends and family of the Brewers can get FREE tickets! To get put on the list, email Jeremy Peschel or Brook Lyter or at the gate mention you are a fan of the Brewers for a free ticket! A limo bus provided by Fargo Party Ride will take fans of the Brewers to the game and back from the Penalty Box leaving at 5:30pm. Give us shout on Facebook if you can make it!

The Brewers 2012 season is officially underway. The Brewers defeated MSUM on Monday night 7-3 at Jack Williams Stadium highlighted by Jason Drake's 3 run HR. Multiple pitchers saw their first action of the season. Saturday features a double header in St. Cloud against St. Augusta and St. Cloud Snappers at Dick Putz field.

There is a lot of exciting news and changes this year to report... First, most players from last year's squad have committed to return, including leadoff hitter Nic Obey who will be returning from an internship in Iowa and pitcher Victor Sofolosky from Mayville State. Chris Coste will be back is now the assistant coach at Concordia College. The team will get an injection of speed and youth from Spencer Flaten (Jamestown College) and Braden Rahmen (Concordia). Also, former Redhawks pitcher Doug Young and former UND standout pitcher Mike Rerick will bolster the pitching staff.

Home games will be more fun at Matson Field. Members of the team worked hard in the off-season to acquire a liquor license to allow beer sales. Currently the team is planning to host "Amateur Baseball Night" on Wednesday nights with a double header featuring local amateur teams. With full PA and concessions, the experience of watching games at Matson will be much more enjoyable than in the past! The full schedule will be posted soon.
