In one week, the Brewers lost three outstanding pitchers. Kyle Kingsley, Jay Flaa, and Parkin Trewin (all from NDSU) each were picked up by professional or collegiate wood bat leagues. Kingsley got the call from the Roswall Invaders of the Pecos League in New Mexico (Independent). Jay Flaa and Parker Trewin were both picked up by teams in the Northwoods League, Flaa to St. Cloud Rox and Trewin to Duluth Huskies.

Kingsley had taken the closer role for the Brewers. Expect Mike Peschel to have more appearances in that role now that Kingsley is gone. Fortunately for the Brewers, the pitching staff is as deep as it has ever been. After 21 games this season the staff has been very stingy in allowing runs, with a team ERA of 1.59. Let's hope that trend continues with the departure of three solid arms!

The Brewers wish Kyle, Jay, and Parker big success with their new teams the rest of this season and beyond.
