Announcing! The Moorhead Brewers will be hosting a 16-team amateur baseball tournament next spring thanks in part to local sponsors including the City of Moorhead, Fargo-Moorhead Athletic Commission and others. The "Northwest Baseball Championships" will be held over Memorial Day Weekend May 20-22, 2011 and will be played on Jack Williams and Matson Fields. Teams from all classes in 4 states (MN, ND, SD, NE) are invited, with several teams already committed. Brewers Win Miller Lite Invitational
The Moorhead Brewers traveled to Green Isle and Arlington over the weekend to participate in the Miller Lite Invitational and came home with the championship trophy. The Brewers opened the 16-team tournament with a 2-1 win over Blue Earth on Friday night and continued their championship run with an 11-3 victory over host Green Isle late Saturday evening. A semi-final win over Fairfax 11-5 sent them to the championship game opposite the Litchfield Blues with the Brewers coming out on top 8-5. Brewer infielder Dale Dingmann was named the tournament MVP going 8-14 with 1 HR and 9 RBI on the weekend.

Brewers Finding Off-Season Workout Success at SynergieAfter a tough finish to the 2006 baseball season, as a manager and player, I knew there had to be a change in my off-season habits in order for things to change on the field. My wife, Jenny, had been work-ing out with a personal trainer, Ginger Friesen, for over a year and saw great progress toward her work-out goals. She told me Ginger was opening her own personal training studio called Synergie and I was intrigued. In the past, working out for me meant going to the gym to run on the treadmill for 20 min-utes, hit the bench press, leg press and do a couple arm curls. Despite the fact that I would be working out with my wife and other chicks, I decided to give it a shot and called Ginger to see how she could help me....
