Baseball Fans:

On behalf of the cities of Fargo and Moorhead, I’m happy to be able to welcome you to our community for the Minnesota Amateur Baseball Super Section. We are proud to have you here, and we know you won’t be disappointed.

Fargo-Moorhead is a great combination of two cities in two counties in two states, with a metro population of around 200,000 welcoming people. And in case you’re interested, our communities have a long history of supporting baseball. Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo each have a vibrant American Legion Baseball programs, fed by an equally robust Babe Ruth Baseball program. NDSU plays Division I college baseball, while the Division III program flourishes at Concordia College. And of course, since 1996 we’ve been home to the F-M Redhawks, perennial powers in the Independent Northern League first, and now in the American Association.

While you’re here, please take advantage of one of our more than 350 restaurants, sample the vibrant night life downtown, and shop at West Acres, one of the largest regional shopping centers in the upper Midwest. While you’re shopping, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Roger Maris Museum, conveniently located on the west end of the Mall’s main corridor. Also take time to visit at least one of our many other attractions, which include an air museum, a zoo specializing in rare and endangered species, art museums and a pioneer village.

No matter what you choose to do while you’re here, I know you’ll find that our real treasure is the people who live here. They are the reason we love to say that Fargo-Moorhead is “Always Warm.”

Yours truly, Steve Saxlund
