Brewers Qualify for Playoffs
The Brewers have qualified for the playoffs in the NABA World Series in Phoenix. The Brewers survived a battle with the Colorado Springs Brewers (5-4) and finished with a record of 3-1-1, good enough for the #8 seed in the 8-team single-elimination tournament. Todd Fuller gave the team a great effort on the mound, throwing 8-1/3 innings and Ryan Greene came in to pick up the save with runners in scoring position and 1 out.
Ironically, the Brewers will face the L.A. Bruins in a rematch of the first game of the series, when the Brewers handed the L.A. their only loss so far. The Bruins are the defending champions and one of the top ranked amateur teams in the country, so the team is excited for the challenge of beating them again.
The game will be played at 7pm under the lights at Tempe Diablo Stadium, home of the Angels.
