Moorhead Brewers

The Brewers lost to the L.A. Bruins 8-4 in the first round of the playoffs in Phoenix on a beautiful night at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, AZ.  The Brewers faced a tough pitcher in Matt Durkin (2009 Golden League Pitcher of the Year) and a former 2nd round draft pick (44th overall) by the Mets.  Zach Femrite took the hill for the Brewers on short rest, and the Bruins jumped out to an early lead.  The Brewers could not match the firepower of the solid L.A. team, who boasted a roster full of contract pros.  It was a great experience and the team thoroughly enjoyed the competition.
