The Brewers traveled to Bemidji to take on the Mudcats for two 7-inning games to start the 2008 campaign.  Game 1 was highlighted by Todd George's debut on the mound for the Brewers and Josh Dietz's 2-run bomb off of Tyler Norland, but the Mudcats were able to put the winning run across in the 6th against Brook Lyter in relief.  Norland held off the Brewers in the 7th to complete game 1.  Game 1 box score

Mike Peschel took the mound in game 2 and provided a great early-season performance, pitching all 7 innings and recording 7 strikeouts in a workmanlike effort.  The lefthander also picked up a couple hits in his debut for the Brewers.  Game 2 box score
