Miracle on 42nd St

In what will go down as one of the most stunning comebacks in team history, the Brewers rallied to score 6 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning to overcome a 7-2 deficit.  Not only did the Brewers manage to erase the deficit, they did with it with 2 outs, and 2 strikes...

The wheels came off for the Miners, who held a comfortable lead the entire game.  Miners starting pitcher Shane Bushland, coming off a good senior season for the Bison, shut down the hot Brewer bats through 7 innings.

However, with 2 outs and 2 strikes in the 9th inning, the Brewer bats caught fire.  Five hits combined with 2 walks and an error contributed to the miraculous comeback.  A factor in the game involved a one-hop liner off the bat of Ryan Olson which hit relief pitcher Ryan Williams in the face just below the right eye.  Williams had to leave the game.  He was in tough shape but appeared to be okay.  The Miner's relief pitcher struggled to get the final out, and a wild pitch with the bases loaded sealed the win for the Brewers.
