GAME SUMMARY
The Moorhead Brewers entertained the Jamestown Elks at Matson Field on Tuesday night in a rematch of the semifinals of the Border Battle this past weekend. A tight game throughout as the game was tied tied after 6 innings. Brewer rookie pitcher Kirk Dehler started on the mound and worked 6 strong innings striking out 6 Elks while only yielding 2 runs, both unearned, on just 3 hits. The Elks took an early 1-0 lead in the 1st but Chris Clemenson's solo homer of the LARGE variety knotted the game in the 4th. The Elks would come back in the top of the 5th with another unearned run to make it 2-1. Josh Dietz's SAC fly scored Mike Peschel in the 6th to even the score. With the game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 8th the Brewers would strike for 3 runs as Clemenson came up with a clutch double to score Mike Peschel. Todd Fuller extended the lead to 5-2 in favor of the Brewers scoring Clemenson and Dietz with a double of his own. From there solid relief pitching by Tom Fuchs and Mike Peschel closed out the Elks in innings 7 through 9 to push the Brewers win streak to 10 straight. Next action is not until next Wednesday as the Brewers face the Spartans at McCormick Field at 7pm.
