| GAME SUMMARY |
| After a week hiatus, the Brewers had a hard fought battle against the Moorhead Spartans in a West Central League game. The bats were a little rusty in the early innings. The Brewers had only two hits heading into the 7th inning before the bats came alive. Matt Oye lead off the 7th with a base hit. Tim Jallen squared around to bunt over Oye and was faced with an inside pitch that caromed off his jersey and received 1st base. Mike Peschel followed with a slow grounder to 1st moving both Oye and Jallen over to 3rd and 2nd. Jordan Doschadis received a free pass to load the bases. Chris Clemenson hit a ball in the hole that was bobbled by the 2nd baseman and everyone was safe and the Brewers tied the game at 1. Still with one out, Todd Fuller hit a ball in the hole to score two. By the end of the 7th, the Brewers had five runners cross home plate. The Brewers pitching was superb. Matt Bowar took the mound to start the game going 3 innings and scattering 2 hits. Gabe Shockman followed with 4 innings and picked up the win. Kirk Dehler and Mike Peschel pitched a scoreless 8th and 9th inning. With the win, the Brewers continue their winning streak to 11 games. |
