| GAME SUMMARY |
| The 2nd round of the West Central League playoffs began Sunday night with the Brewers facing the Expos at Matson Field. A low scoring contest throughout saw the Expos hold a 1-0 lead heading to the bottom of the sixth. Jeremy Peschel stepped to the plate with one away and the bases empty and proceeded to launch a mammoth homer over left center to knot the game at 1-1. Mike Peschel followed with a double over the left fielder's head and was driven in by 2-out single by Chris Clemenson. The Brewer advantage pushed to 3-1 in the 7th as Dale Dingmann led off with an infield single and moved to second by an Expo error. Jordan Doschadis pinch ran for Dingmann and Josh Dietz delivered an RBI single to provide the 2-run cushion. Kyle Kingsley went the distance on the mound for the Brewers and moved his record on the year to 4-0. Kingsley allowed a single unearned run and only 4 Expo hits on the night while striking out 4. The win on the evening pushed the Brewer win streak to 14 in a row and also gives them a 1-0 lead in the best of three series with the Expos for the top seed from the West Central League in the Region 12C tournament. Next action is Tuesday night as the Brewers host the Jamestown Elks at Matson Field with game time 7pm. |
