| GAME SUMMARY |
| The Moorhead Brewers opened the Region 12C tournament in Ada on Saturday opposite the Warroad Muskies. A 2-0 Brewer lead after 2 innings quickly turned into a 7-0 advantage as the Brewers put up 5 runs in the bottom of the 3rd. That was more than enough cushion for starting pitcher Todd Fuller as he kept the club from Warroad at bay only yielding 3 hits and striking out 6 Muskies in 5 innings of work. The Brewers batted through the order in the 4th scoring 6 more runs and putting the game away. The contest was called by 10-run rule after 7 innings and the Brewers moved one step closer to a return trip the the MN State Class C tournament. Muskie pitching was battered by 15 Brewer hits in the game with Ryan Olson and Mike Peschel leading the charge with 3 hits apiece. Matt Oye, Dale Dingmann, and Josh Dietz each added 2 hits as well. |
