GAME SUMMARY |
The Brewers made the trek to Bemidji for a pair of 7 inning games with the MudCats on Sunday afternoon. The opening tilt of the day saw the Brewers coming out on top by a score of 4-0 despite managing only 2 hits in the game. They were aided by 14 walks by MudCat pitching finally pushing across a run in the top of the 5th as Matt Oye, Mike Peschel, and Jeremy Peschel all reached on 2-out walks to load the bases. Chris Clemenson's RBI HBP broke the scoreless tie proving to be the game winner. Brewer starting pitcher Jason Beilke had a strong outing allowing only 2 hits in 6 innings. Beilke set down 11 straight MudCat batters after giving up back to back singles in the bottom of the 3rd to earn his 1st career Brewer win. Ryan Olson's 2 RBI double in the 7th pushed the final margin of victory to 4-0. |
