GAME SUMMARY
The Brewers met the Jamestown Elks on Wednesday night at Newman Outdoor Field. It was the 3rd meeting of the season between the two clubs with the Elks winning both so the Brewers were looking to bounce back and they responded with a 5-0 victory. Nic Obey stepped to the plate in the home half of the first and deposited the first pitch he saw over the left field fence for an early 1-0 lead. The Brewers tacked on another run in the bottom of the 2nd when Jeremy Peschel singled with two outs and swiped 2nd. Obey again delivered with an RBI double down the left field line to easily drive in Peschel to make it 2-0. The Brewers lead extended to 5-0 in the bottom of the 4th as 3 runs crossed as Elks pitching had trouble throwing strikes. Not the case for the Brewers as Scott Petry, Tom Fuchs, Chris Clemenson, and Mike Peschel combined to shutout the Elks and only allowing 3 harmless singles. Obey was red hot at the plate to lead the Brewers offensively only falling a triple short of the cycle with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. Clemenson added 2 hits as the Brewers collected 10 total hits off Elks throwers. Next action for the Brewers is Wednesday night as they host the Pelican Rapids Lakers at Matson Field with game time 7:30pm.
