GAME SUMMARY
The Brewers and RedCaps squared off again on Wednesday night at Scott Berry Field in Mayville on a warm sunny evening. The home team wasted little time in taking control of the game scoring 2 runs in each of the first 2 innings for a 4-0 advantage. A single tally by the RedCaps pushed to lead to 5-0 in the 5th as the silent bats of the visiting Brewers failed to get started. Nic Obey led off the top of the 6th with a single and next batter Ryan Olson drew a walk to set the table for Dale Dingmann's sinking liner to right getting by the diving attempt by the rightfielder. Obey scored from 1st on Dingmann's double and Olson advanced to 3rd on the play. Chris Clemenson's RBI sac fly brought home Olson. Dingmann later scored in the inning on a fielders choice as Jeremy Peschel beat out the double play relay to first base cutting the RedCap lead to 5-3. The momentum was short-lived after the RedCaps put the contest out of reach answering with 4 runs of their own in the bottom of the 6th. The Brewers responded with a run in the 7th and a pair in the 8th but the game was called due to darkness with the final score 9-6 in favor of the RedCaps.
