| GAME SUMMARY |
| The Moorhead Brewers hit the road for a couple of exhibition games in St. Cloud on a wet Saturday afternoon at Dick Putz Field. The first of 2 scheduled 7 inning affairs had the Brewers opposite Tom Fuch's old squad, the St. Augusta Gussies. Runs and hits were scarce as pitching and defense held the offenses of both teams to a combined 5 hits on the day. Scott Petry singled with one out in the top of the 8th and would later scored on Mike Peschel's double down right field line to give the Brewers a 1-0 lead. Jason Beilke came in the bottom of the inning and put the Gussies down in order to record the save. Brook Lyter earned the win in relief throwing 2 scoreless frames while striking out 4 St. Augusta batters. Due to deteriorating field conditions the 2nd game versus the St. Cloud Snappers was cancelled. |
