| GAME SUMMARY |
| Monday evening at Jack Williams Field had the Brewers hosting the RedCaps from Mayville. The Brewer offense started slowly again while the visitors grabbed an early lead scoring 3 runs in the 3rd and 1 in the 4th for a 4-0 advantage through 4 complete. Mike Peschel knocked in Matt Oye in the bottom of the 5th and Todd Fuller's SAC fly brought in Ryan Olson in the 6th to cut the lead to 4-2. Mayville would answer with a pair of runs in the top of the 7th to push their lead to 6-2. Fuller's RBI ground out scored Olson in the 8th but the Brewers were unable to put anything else on the board and the final score ended up 6-3 in favor of the RedCaps. Next action up for the Brewers will be Thursday night against the Pelican Rapids Lakers as they kick off the Northwest Baseball Championship tournament at Jack Williams Field. First pitch is set for 7:30pm. The 12-team tournament will feature a solid field of amateur teams with 10 from Minnesota and 2 from North Dakota with games played at Matson Field in Moorhead and Jack Williams Field in Fargo. The tourney resumes Friday evening with a pair of games and a full slate throughout Saturday. Semi-finals take place on Sunday morning with the championship to follow at 1:45pm at Jack Williams. |
