GAME SUMMARY
The Brewers faced the Mayville RedCaps for the second time this year at Matson Field on Thursday evening. The RedCaps came out swinging early as they pushed across 3 runs in the top of the 1st. Blake Turbak's 2-run homer in the bottom of the 2nd got the Brewers on the board to cut the lead to 3-2. Another 2-run bomb off the bat of Ryan Olson put the Brewers ahead 4-3 in the home half of the 4th. The score would remain until the bottom of the 7th when Spencer Flaten tripled to bring in Vic Soklofsky. The Brewers extended their lead to 7-3 with another pair of runs in the 8th inning with Matt Oye and Sokolofsky each driving in runners. Scott Petry earned the win in relief to push his personal record on the season to 2-0. Next game action for the Brewers will be Wednesday night as they host the Pelican Rapids Lakers at Matson Field with game time scheduled for 6:15. The 7 inning contest will be followed by the Fergus Falls Hurricanes taking on the Fargo Expos.
