| GAME SUMMARY |
| The Moorhead Brewers hosted the Jamestown Elks on Father's Day at Matson Field. The home team wasted no time as they tallied 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning as Ryan Olson's double drove in 2 runs and a single by Jeremy Peschel brought in another to make it 3-0. The lead ballooned to 8-0 in the 3rd as Chris Clemenson, Peschel, Vic Sokolofsky, and Spencer Flaten drove in runs in the inning. Clemenson homered to lead off the bottom of the 4th and Mike Peschel's double to the gap scored Flaten from first to end the contest by 10-run rule in the 5th inning. Offensively the Brewers 13-hit attack was lead by Clemenson and Olson with 3 hits apiece with Clemenson being a triple shy of the cycle. Mike and Jeremy Peschel each had to hits as well. Newcomer Max Rusch started on the hill for the Brewers going 3 innings and allowing 1 hit while striking out 5 Elks to earn the win. Jason Beilke threw 2 hitless innings and struck out 3. |
